Moravia tied Albia for second in Amateur Shorthand. Mary Selby and teammates led Novice Typing with 39 wpm, placing fourth. The amateur typists claimed third. Centerville swept three firsts. Moravia took the remaining. District winners go to the State Contest in Des Moines May 12. Audrey B C Club served a breakfast in Dowd's Woods. Moravia observes Clean-Up Week from April 80th to May 5th with town crews collecting rubbish in suitable containers to ease disposal. Earl E. Tait of Johns Township announces his candidacy for the Republican nomination for sheriff of Appanoose County.
