Lockman February 13 1933 and survived by husband three sisters and four brothers. Funeral held April 27 at Turner Funeral Home with Rev Lynn King officiating. Burial Moravia Cemetery.

Open house draws large crowd at Chariton Valley COOP
About 450 farm families and roughly 1260 people attended Albia's Chariton Valley Cooperative open house on Monday to view Hotpoint electrical appliances. Prizes in the afternoon drawing went to R. M. Jones Albia route 2 for a 12 cubic foot upright freezer, Ray Rinehart near Iconium for a one ton air conditioner, and Abraham Post Albia route 5 for a steam iron. The event featured a Hotpoint truck trailer display and a demonstration of an electronic oven that fried bacon and eggs and baked cupcakes in seconds.
