Glee Clubs Sing at Christian Church Sunday Night

The Boys and Girls Glee Clubs performed at the Christian Church Sunday evening following earlier appearances at United Brethren and Methodist Churches. The selections included Little Brown Church Awakening Chorus and Now the Day is Over. Visitors on Home and School Days There were 257 visitors registered on Home and School Days last Thursday and Friday and it is known that all didn't register. Appanoose County Exhibit Judges and Moravia School Events

Cracken and W A Dunlavy visited the county to review exhibits. Moravia Public Schools hosted Home and School Days with multiple exhibit judges including Mrs Reich and Mrs Main for Mathematics, Mr Tarr for Manual Training, Mrs Halden, Mrs Reich for Home Economica, and Dr Slavin for Science. Night School popular in Moravia with 190 registered and up to 300 present.

Seniors Clinch School Class Championship With Win

The Seniors defeated the Sophomores 25 to 4 as Cecil Cullere scored sixteen and the Sophomores failed to score after the first quarter. Marble tournament set to run in coming weeks with two boys from each grade chosen to represent their class under Mr. Boller guidance.

Bill Trelan was in Moravia Monday. Mrs Mildred Robb called at the W Fomlin home Monday. Guy Adams recently stopped by Unionville. E Lockman passed through Thursday. Fred Coltrain’s were callers in Moravia one day this week. Quiller Adama and family visited with his mother Sunday. T A Robb spent last week at Rochester with sister Mrs Allen Procter who was operated on. Mr and Mrs Tom Drake and Bert were callers in Moravia Saturday afternoon. Hoger Fix spent Sunday with Ray Tomlin. T T Lockman was a caller at Raymond Lockman’s one day last week. Mrs Lizzie Kelan was a recent caller at the Jeff Taylor home. Advertising is a good remedy for bum business.

Moravia caller Monday notes Gregory of Moulton visiting farmers in the area. Archie Hiatt and family visited Mrs Purvia’s home Sunday. Callen visited Clarence Miller Thursday and Friday. Dorothy Fenton stays with grandmother Mrs Edd Miller who is ill.

Miss Garnet Mericle Absent From School Last Week

Miss Garnet Mericle was absent from school several days last week. Miss Sylvia Callen spent the weekend with home folks. J R Callen and Theo Miller attended a school board meeting at Moravia Monday. Mrs. Miller spent the afternoon in town. Forrest Mericle called at Frank Coulson's Monday morning. Frank Coulson attended the Jack Luse sale one day last week. Tra Callen visited Nate Wilson. Mrs Hillis Thomas entertained several friends at her home Saturday evening in honor of Mr Thomas birth. Mrs Miller and children of near Myalle spent the weekend with her daughter Mrs Douglas Turner and family.
