William H. McKern 80 of Lakeland Florida died Tuesday night February 22 at the home of his stepson Doyle Mardis in Orlando Florida. He was a former Moravia resident and father of Mrs. William Burns and Guy McKern of Moravia. Surviving are three children three grandchildren eight great grandchildren and four stepchildren. Funeral services and burial were in Lakeland Florida.

Ottumwa high school basketball defeated Moravia Greyhounds 29 to 10 in the sectional semi final. Moravia led 10 to 6 at halftime but faded after the intermission on a larger floor and unfamiliar surroundings. Roe Adams Funeral Rites Held Monday
Roe Adams lifelong Moravia resident died Sunday morning at his home after a lengthy illness. Born in the area on August 11, 1869, he lived in Moravia for about 20 years and worked as a farmer. He married Luvada Lockman in 1892 and leaves wife, five children, 21 grandchildren, and other relatives. Services conducted at the Christian church in Moravia February 28, 2:00 PM, Rev. W. G. Lugle officiating. interment at Sailes.
