A 80 by 34 foot hay barn on U G Turner's Iconium road farm near Moravia burned after sparks from a brush fire blew into it. The Moravia and Albia fire departments fought the blaze, saving a stock barn. Turner lost hay, harness, and commercial feed, with partial insurance coverage reported.
