The Riflemen of the Revolution The Pennsylvania Companies
In 1775 Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia form rifle companies under Congress to join Washington near Boston. Led by captains including Lowdon Nagel Doudel and Miller, they recruit from Irish German Welsh and Shawnee allies, earning fame at Monmouth, Brandywine, Germantown, and Paoli. Veterans like Sam Brady and Timothy Murphy rise to legend as the riflemen march to liberty.
