The town begins a cooperative project to renovate the community building in the square. The Booster club starts by removing school petitions and applying a new two coat ceiling paint while Garden club and Fall Festival groups plan interior colors for multi organization use.
Plans call for gas heating in the main room and moving oil heat from Booster club to the library. A small kitchen with stove and refrigerator may be added, making the building suitable for meetings, picnics, and reunions. Donations will be sought as town park funds are insufficient.

Hazel Hellyer Clark Hellyer and Donna Rose visited Lake Wapello. Lloyd Brown and relatives spent evenings with the Perry home. Eugene Jackson Paul Richard and Karl Lee Calhoun visited Amy Hiner home.

Reunions and dinners span multiple towns with park picnics and hospital stops noted.

Mr and Mrs Eugene Jackson and Paul spent Saturday night at the Delbert Calhoun home. Mr and Mrs Jerry Brown and family of Sigourney with Mrs Ethel Hamilter and Mr and Mrs Bill Parton and family of Macs were mentioned in the portion.
