Maxine Tisue visited Cheree Dyphon. R G Wilson family Sunday at Eph Wilson's. Dorothy Davis joined a Sunday dinner at M D P Main home. Edna Dyphon visited her sister Mrs Cart Cloyed Friday afternoon. Mrs Earl Wayland and two children stayed in Davenport Saturday night at the Mangle home.Gaylord McDanel family were at Harold Davis's Sunday evening. Mr and Mrs Bill Wilson and son Billy visited Dutch DuVall Saturday evening. Martens Childs of Coatsville called at Eph Wilson's Saturday evening. Don Hayes family were Sunday visitors at C M Parr home near Eddyville. Gus Tisue family, Milo Main and grandson Bobby visited O G Davis Sunday afternoon. Emma Robinson, Mrs E F Wilson, and Mrs F W Wright visited relatives in Blakesburg Tuesday.
Iowa State College researchers report heifer calves gained slower than steer calves but reached market finish earlier after five months on feed. Both groups were bought November first in Sioux City at 369 pounds each. Steers continue feeding and will reach eight months by the July 30 Town Cattle Feeders Hey Day at Ames.

The Women's Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist Church met with Mrs. Adda Harrison during furlough time. A lesson was shared on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Tomlin hosted guests, with Mr. and Mrs. Warrington and children and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Jones and daughters also present.
Frank Coulson and Martha and Edith visited Centerville Friday evening. J E Luse and Betty were callers with Miss Jane accompanying them home. Miss Rebs Callen returned to Des Moines Sunday after visiting since Wednesday. Herbert and Dorothy McDanel visited Jim Cline’s home. Mrs Harry Van Antwerp Curtis and Berne were Monday morning visitors at J R Callen’s. Alvin Printy spent the weekend with Centerville relatives. Mr and Mrs Alfred Carlson shopped in Centerville last week. J R Callen family spent Sunday evening at R E Luse’s. The locality was well represented at Moravia on July 4. Mr and Mrs Guy McDanel and children called at Jim Cline’s Monday afternoon. Frank Ockerman of Allerton and Will Nixson and Della Mae of Centerville spent Sunday at R E Luse’s.

Additional visits featured Bertha Anderson and Pat Fisher of Albia and Eva and Vern Lewis spending days at the BE G Caster home.
In Appanoose County Iowa District Court a filing purporting to be the last will of Elijah H Boyer was opened on June 7 1931 and set for final proof and probate on July 20 1931 at which time all interested may appear and show cause why the will should not be admitted to probate. The Moravia Town Council met in regular session with Mayor W G Firkins and six other councilmen. Bills approved include lawn work, cemetery labor, mowing, street and sewer supplies, police, and hall rent. A resolution approves engineer plans for street improvements and a contract form, with July 6 1981 as adoption date. Treasurer reports show balances and a budget hearing set for July 20 1931.
The District Court of Appanoose County Iowa appoints Charlotte Swan administratrix of Margaret Greer deceased. All debts owed to the estate must be paid to the administratrix and all claims legally authenticated presented for allowance. Dated June 24 1991. Edmund Hanson Clerk of Court. July 29.
Scatteredburg residents Mrs T T Lockman and daughters Ethyl visited Gilland and W T Irelan on Wednesday. Mell Adams stayed with A Adams, and Wm and Curtis Tomlin were Centerville callers. Mrs Roy Gilland and daughters Daphne and Darline vacationed with Gilland family. Almost everyone in the neighborhood celebrated the fourth in Moravia.
Saturday, Mr and Mrs Elmer Lockhiattiid and their children were among those entertained at the T T Lockman home Sunday. Mr and Mrs Wm Tomlin and Maria spent Sunday after Sunday, School at the parental Went hone.
The Board of Directors of Moravia Independent School District in Towa Taylor Appanoose and Monroe Counties will meet July 2 1991 at 7:30 PM at the secretary’s office. Taxpayers may be heard for or against the proposed expenditure estimate. Chester Broshar District Secretary.
