Unimportant Cogitations From Byrnes Faber Journal
A fragmented diary entry reflects on missed mail, family losses, and ongoing farm tasks. The author notes a delayed mail system, a cousin’s visit, a death in the family, and four weeks without army news, while detailing improvements to a bicycle, crop growth, animal care, and upcoming July chores amid variable weather. The narrator laments lack of written work and prioritizes garden, house, and harvest preparations despite recurring distractions.
