Two Moravia residents pass away within weekend
Orrin George Davis aged 88 died at his Moravia home on December 27 after an illness. He married Maggie Tisue in 1893 and left eight children, 29 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren. Funeral held December 30 at the Moravia EUB church. Effie Gollaher, 81, died December 29 at Monroe County Hospital after a stroke. She lived in Moravia most of her life, with husband George Gollaher passing in 1952. Funeral services December 30 at Turner funeral home, burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
