Mr. and Mrs. Milton Stocker and family visited Bill Clancy Sunday at the Ottumwa hospital, where he recovers from an appendicitis operation. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Lockman spent Tuesday in Raymond. Lockman, here, and Mr. and Mrs. Marve Lockman were business callers in Centerville on Monday.
Sunday and weekend social roundups show Rosalie Sneeden visiting Jerald Fenton in Russell, multiple families hosting dinners and guest calls across Centerville and Jerome, including Argo, Rinehart, Whitehead, Cole, Miller, and Allen households with neighbors like Lisle Kelsey, Dorothy Calhoun, Amy Hiner, and Mary Lou coordinating visits.
Mrs Nellie Thompson called Wednesday afternoon with Mrs Maude Whitehead in attendance. Iconium school pupils and their teacher Mrs Helen Sisul enjoyed a Valentine party Friday afternoon with refreshments served by Mrs Grace Whitehead.
Pleasant Hill residents share visits with relatives in Centerville and Ottumwa. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Brown, Mrs. Richard Dunham and children, and others spent time with the Lemaster and Dicks families. The Jeonium W.S.C.S. met January 29 and planned to serve Albia Athletic Club in spring.
The Shanghai Club met February 10 with Hazel Rinehart. Esther Perry won the guess the nut prize. Free received her birthday gift. Members and visitors shared a cooperative chicken dinner. Attendees included Mark and Barbara Allen Chauncey and Marie Cole Doris Christy Jele Christy Anna Landgrebe Gienj and Bertha Overturf Esther Perry Allie Taylor Clarence and Icei Scott Vinton Lindy Frank Lew Bert and Hazel Rinehart Amy Hiner. Next meeting is February 24 with Iceal Scott.
