Mrs. Virgil Easter was hospitalized in Ottumwa in intensive care after a home incident, improving later in room E-356. Mrs. Betty Charity returned home from Monroe County Hospital after an appendectomy on Monday.

Three Moravia Students to Tallcorn Band Conference
About 500 high school musicians and directors will attend the University of Northern Iowa 18th Tall Corn Band Conference on Feb 9 and 10. Moravia High School will be represented by Janice Adams Mike Godby and Gary McCloud among 72 schools. The event features rehearsals clinics and concerts by the UNI Wind Ensemble and student groups. Open to the public concerts begin 7 p.m. Friday in Russell Hall with chair auditions. Saturday includes two clinics and a 4:30 p.m. final concert.
