Government and power firms propose Missouri River energy exchange
A plan by fifteen suppliers led by Towa Southern Utilities would let the federal government boost firm power from Missouri River hydro plants by over 50 percent in low water. Energy would be exchanged seasonally, creating a credit with suppliers during summer, with no new government investment. The arrangement would cover eight years and continue thereafter.

Moravia School Receives 80 Passenger Bus
Moravia school received delivery of a new 80 passenger bus the largest ever used by the district. The Chevrolet V eight chassis was bought through Huber Chevrolet at Blakesburg. Carlo VanZante, president of the board of education, and Bill Woodward drove the bus from Indiana to Unionville on a route serving many students on good roads.

The Moravia Methodist circuit launches a five Sunday mission school at Grace Methodist Church starting this Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Mrs Neva F. Miller speaks on missions in ten Latin American countries with Cuba and Mexico first. Sessions travel to Moravia, Wesley Chapel, and Fairview on Feb 4, 11, 18, 25, and March 11.
