Moravia Town Council debates ammonia tank permit and street lighting upgrade
Moravia Iowa officials considered John Wilson of Moravia Farm Service Co requesting permission to install and operate a 26 000 gallon ammonia tank. The council adjourned after a motion by Black and a tally of votes. A separate letter from Iowa Southern Utilities Co outlines street lighting upgrade terms for Moravia housing, including trenching, concrete bases, mercury vapor fixtures, and eventual ownership by the utility. A November 1965 resolution authorizes changes per Schedule A and directs notice to the company. The minutes show financials and approvals for road and utility items, with adjournment declared by Mayor Lee Hiatt.
