Community weighs football plan amid school district vote
In a Christmas issue, residents of the school district largely oppose adding football to the local sports program. The vote reflects a preference for focusing on general curricular instruction rather than expanding athletic offerings. Meanwhile, football games draw large crowds and the Union notes readers may submit signed comments on issues. The paper also features holiday greetings from local businesses.
