Mothers Oppose Great Plains Plan To Reorganize Iowa Schools
A broad Iowa campaign urges residents to write legislators and governors to block the Great Plains Reorganization Plan. Mothers warn of state dictatorship over education, loss of local control, longer bus rides, and falling property values. They urge letter writing, organizing a Des Moines visit, and contacting friends statewide to defend local schools. The appeal lists specific Board of Education members and Gov-elect Ray as targets for protests.
