Homer Brown called at W L Clark home Tuesday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Archie Herron were Albia callers Friday afternoon. Saturday Albia callers from the vicinity included Mr and Mrs W A Brown and family, Mr and Mrs Tom McCrory and family, Mr and Mrs Howard Besco and family, W L Clark, and Homer Brown and family. Mr Ethel Eva Daphne and Homer Charles Brown called at John W Kenton home Sunday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Tom McCrory and family spent Sunday at Virgil Easter home.
Centerville residents Coulson senior and Mr and Mrs Harry Brown visited Forest Mericle for a few days. Ernest Hiatt Virginia Robert and Sandra joined Jim Cline and others at the Luse home. Riley Callen and Dale attended Luse supper with guests Harry Van Antwerp and family planning a California move. Mrs Theo Miller helped at church dinner. Mrs Lockman returned home after visiting Moravia. Paul Mericle and Dale Callen spent Sunday together. Forest Mericle visited Karl Fischer. C L Coulson stayed with Callen fostered, Lois and Doris Mericle recovering from January auto accident injuries. Ernest Hiatt, Robert and others called at Riley Callen’s on Sunday.
Mrs Charley Jones and Guy McKern returned home Monday from the hospital. They remain about the same and are being cared for by Mr and Mrs Newtaft Kong and Mr and Mrs He. Mrs Hannah Gladfelder visits with Mr and Mrs Jess Gladfelder and Mrs Mildred McLennan and Ann returned to Canada Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Fred Tarr left Tuesday for Buckeye Arizona for the winter. Dell Hellyer and George and Mrs Kenneth Johnson were Centerville callers Friday. Darrel Smith of Des Moines spent the weekend at Guy McKern’s. Emma Haver visited the Dell Hellyer home Saturday morning. Dick George and Clark Hellyer and Clarence and Donald Whitehead attended a basketball game at Albia Friday evening.
Mr and Mrs Keith Rose together with Robert and Richard spent eight Sundays at a family gathering.
Mr and Mrs Lute Hiatt spent last Monday evening with Mrs Elsie Martin and Mr and Mrs Lee Hiatt and Marilyn. They also note visits to the Frank Hiatt home and gatherings at the homes of Carl Coffin Loyd Carter Jimmie and Essie Kay. A Miss Lulu Burton spent Friday in Centerville with her cousin Mrs Essie Kay and Mr and Mrs W H Callen and Claud Callen with daughters were at the Frank Hiatt home Sunday.
