Moravia Divides as Shaif Plan Passes County Split

Moravia voters favored the Shaif plan by just over two to one. The county vote leaned against it by 85 ballots, while the state result showed a strong no at 270,017 to 191,228. Turnout in Moravia reached 215 voters with 152 yes and 63 no, and the county totals were 1,369 yes and 1,454 no. The result reflects a rift between sparsely populated counties and larger counties, with 63 counties voting yes and six voting no, yet fewer counties delivering the larger share of votes.
