Martha Veach 78 of Phoenix Arizona died November 25 at 4 30 am in her daughter and husband s nursing home where she had been a patient since November 2 She had suffered cancer since October 15 in a Phoenix hospital Born in Appanoose County on November 28 1892 she was a member of the Moravia American Legion auxiliary Survivors include husband Charles Albert a son Duane L and daughter Delma J Wintermute eight grandchildren two step granddaughters and sister Tressie Barnthouse Funeral services were held Tuesday December 1 at 2 30 pm at Monte Vista Baptist Church with burial at Green Acres Scottsdale Arizona The Weaches were longtime Moravians with him a former druggist who moved to Arizona in 1960.

Moravia's adult education courses will start Monday evening December 7 with a minimum of 10 enrollees per class. Offerings include Typewriting, Income Tax and Bookkeeping, Pastry and Party Foods, Upholstering, Health and Physical Fitness, Art and Crafts, and Adult Basic Education with 15 two hour sessions for some courses and 10 for others.
