Rollie McDonough and Tamily thank the firefighters who assisted during a Monday morning blaze. Though the home could not be saved, the responders helped save many belongings and showed kindness.

About sixty five relatives and friends gathered at the Howard Whisler home Tuesday evening honoring Mr. Whisler with a birthday party. The affair also observed in the birthday of E. G. Hawk. The evening was spent visiting and with games. Refreshments of sandwiches, pie and coffee were served.

Workman and Main Wed in Nazarene Nuptials at Centerville

Maxine Workman daughter of Mr and Mrs Tom Workman of Centerville married John Main son of Mr and Mrs Runzell Main of Moravia in a Sunday afternoon ceremony at the Nazarene parsonage. The couple will reside on a farm near Moravia after a wedding reception hosted by the bride’s parents.

Pre State Declam Meet Friday Night at Moravia

Moravia hosts the pre liminary state declamatory contest Friday evening with Udell and Unionville sending speakers. An error in announcing winners changed the order of the top two in the Moravia high school home declamatory contest. Judge ranked Willard Cloyed first and Donald Whitehead second in the oratorical division. Cloyed will represent the school in the preliminary state contest Friday evening.
