Veteran Railroad Men Retire From Active Duty

Two Moravia railroad workers John Campbell and Tom Underwood retired from Milwaukee and other lines on August 1 under the Railroad Retirement Act. Campbell, 67 August 18, served 47 years with Milwaukee, including 34 years as section foreman, with postings from Moravia to Ottumwa, while Underwood, about 70, had over 50 years in rail service with Wabash, Rock Island, and Milwaukee.
