Moravia highway opening marked by ribbon cutting
The Highway Division of the Department of Transportation officially opened Highway No. 5 with a ribbon cutting and short program at Moravia. Attendees included six DOT members, local engineers, mayors of Moravia Centerville and Albia, county supervisors, and about 40 residents. The project cost about 5.99 million dollars with 3.2 million federal funds and will add rumble strips and a blinking light at the intersection.
