Lee: Etta Charity Fulkerson dies at 92 in Colorado home

Charity Fulkerson a former Appanachhe County resident died July 28 1976 at the Eastern Star home in Deriver Cold. Born July 19 1884 in Coon Rapids Iowa she was married twice first to Raymond S Dharity then to Roy Fulkerson. She moved to Colorado after 1953 and joined Eastern Star Chapter 128. Services were held July 31 at 10 00 a m with burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Colorado. Surviving are son Dallas Englewood Colorado step daughter Mrs Clell Long Centerville a sister Irene Wakefield Centerville nephew Carl Raymond Chority Moravia and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. De Loss preceded her in 1970.

Service man reports for two weeks leave in Des Moines

In Service Robert Schneider, who has been in Boat Training at San Diego, California, arrived Tuesday evening by plane to Des Moines to spend his two weeks leave with his mother, Mrs Janet Schneider, and sister Sheela. He will report to Lakehurst, New Jersey, August 18 for more schooling in the Navy.

Simmons suffered a heart attack at home Tuesday afternoon and was taken to Monroe County Hospital in Albia where he showed some improvement. Several community members underwent medical care or visits, with Mrs. Bill Lockman having surgery July 24 and others returning home from hospitals or visiting relatives in Knoxville, Marion, Albia, and Iowa City.

Rogers and Brackett Reunions Highlight Moravia Event

The 32nd Rogers reunion was hosted August 1 at the Moravia Community Building with a noon cooperative dinner. Officers were elected: Mary Watkins president Wendell Murdy vice president Enid Keeton secretary treasurer. Attendees from multiple towns shared greetings and letters followed by plans to meet again next year. The day also featured the annual Brackett reunion at Moravia park with prizes for oldest and farthest traveled members and a large turnout.

Depot Committee Plans Meeting August Fourth

The Depot Committee led by Gail Tuttle and families of Elmer Gidel Art Fox and Max McDonough will meet August 4 to finalize plans for moving the depot. Daniels Return From Vacation Through East

Mr and Mrs Kenneth Daniels returned after a ten day vacation in the New England states. They visited Lucille Daniels Ruth Austin and Dr Catherine Worthingham of West Redding Connecticut and traveled with them to Ogunquit Maine and Springfield Vermont.
