Ambulance Use At Dedication Draws Security Attention
At the dedication crowd a man fainted and local officials arranged emergency aid led by Kenneth Geyer of Turner Funeral Home Moravia with a white ambulance. Geyer coordinated security and traffic plans with a special communications system and a first aid tent. James Douglas, a Centerville retiree and former highway patrol sergeant, supervised state and local security with Sheriff Harry Robertson’s involvement. Divers stood by for lake incidents near helicopter landing zones.
