May 17 to 23 will be National Egg Week marking the American hen and egg as a key food product. The Union praises producers and grocers who support the poultry industry and invest profits locally in Moravia while encouraging residents to trade with their local grocer.
On Easter day a greeting and welcome awaits my people at the Moravia churches next Sunday. Special services will commemorate the day of the ascension with beautiful music, happy hours, and helpful messages. Everyone will be comforted and helped by going to church on Easter morn.

Genevieve Hoadley, Beryl Hinote, Gerald Irelan and Miller West Jr were Sunday afternoon callers at WM Tomlin's. Lizzie Adams, who has been in the hospital at Centerville, returned home last week and is reported getting along fine.

In the District Court of Iowa Appanoose County the administrator of Martha Foster's estate has filed a final report and applied for discharge. A hearing is set in Centerville Iowa on May 6 1940 to show cause why the final report should not be approved and the administrator discharged from further duties. The noise of hammers and the hum of waves will do much to bring about prosperity.
