Ray Ramblin notes Moravia received 2 to 3 inches of rain over three days lowering dust. City officials plan a meeting with a road construction firm next week to discuss surfacing most main streets for a permanent dust solution.
The town weighs installing radar speed analyzers at the west edge to slow traffic. A sign reading warning speed analyzer in use could be erected after a few days work. Moravia's athletic banquet was praised as a real success by almost everyone, sponsored by the Booster club with broad community support. Athletes were honored, fed well, and presented with carnations, reflecting Moravia’s strong sportsmanship and devoted fans.
Local households trace a busy weekend as Mr and Mrs John Lindskooz welcome relatives from Udell and Des Moines attend dinners and visits. Several trips to Des Moines Kirksville Centerville and Eddyville are noted along with Easter services at Tabernacle in Centerville. Families shared dinners and called on friends including Tadlock Campbell and Andrews households.
Centerville and Albia families share suppers and birthdays at Hoffman Comstock Kelley and Lobberecht homes. Banquet at Moravia honors athletes while P T A met at Miller school. Visitors include Tadlocks Strunks Tubaughs and Kardons as they attend weddings and hospital visits. Advertising note closes the item.

The Shanghai club met with Hazel Rinehart at Montreat on April 6. Tasks included quilting, packing candy boxes for service members, and embroidering. Esther Perry won the guess, Doris N Christy received a birthday gift, and many members and visitors attended. Next meeting set with Esther Perry on April 20.
