Sound of Music Presented by Moravia Music Department
Moravia school students stage The Sound of Music Friday and Saturday at 7 30 pm with about 60 performers, 11 scenes, a 16 piece orchestra, and elaborate sets and costumes. The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical follows Maria and Captain von Trapp through love, war, and escape as Austria falls to Nazi Germany.

Bird dog field trial set for Sunday at Rathbun Lake
The Appanoose County Izaak Walton League sponsors a bird dog fun field trial on Sunday April 6 at 10 am on the south side of Rathbun Lake. From Walnut City crossroads go north. Derby and open class trophies offered. Entry fee is 5 dollars per dog to cover costs including quail securing.
