W F JT Evans, minister conducts sermon and communion at 10. Bible Behoo at 10 40 a m. Christian Endeavor led by Bonita Lagle at 7 p m with an 8 p m sermon. Ladies Aid meets Wednesday afternoon. Winners of the Endeavor contest host an oyster supper Thursday evening. Junior Endeavor meets at o clock led by Laura Jean Ochler.
The church invites attendance with Bible school at 10 a.m. Elva Hawk is superintendent. Morning worship at 11 a.m. will include a message for the heart, with other services as usual. D Winfield Thompson, minister.
M E Church schedules Sunday services with Sunday School at 10:30 a.m. and sermons at 11 a.m. Epworth League at 6:30 p.m. Evening preaching at 7:30 p.m with a special evangelistic service. The Woman's Home Missionary Society meets in Moravia April 3-9. A large crowd attended last Sunday with notable addresses by Johnathan Awesu and an $80 bank offering. Easter Cantata is planned for April 20. Wesley Chapel lists service times with pastor EB G Hankins.

Announcement from C Nui Sundeen of Exline says he seeks the Republican nomination for county recorder in the June primary. Sundeen has lived in Exline for 27 years after moving from Centerville, working in coal mining and carpentry, serving as mayor, assessor, and school board president. He is active in church and belongs to two lodges, pledging to serve the people if elected.
Ottumwa District Woman's Home Missionary Society holds its thirty second annual meeting at the M B E Church Moravia on Tuesday and Wednesday April 8 and 9 1930 with devotions music and greetings led by Rev B G Hawkins and Mina Ida Kahlo. Reports from secretaries and circles follow with addresses by Ida Kahlo and Miss Olive Leech plus a banquet and devotional services culminating in a Pentecostal service led by Dr W J Todd and reflections on the jubilee and annual report book.
John Canning of Albia was a guest of Richard Sneed on Tuesday. The event featured A B Dinner on Wednesday April 9 with roast pork brown gravy mauled potatoes lima bean creamed tomatoes pinkles deviled eggs and pie.

Moravia women announce further contests sponsor to engage youth and beautify the town. This year highlights include a bird house contest for children from third grade to high school with prizes and a display display window judging by local judges. A capacity crowd filled Moravia High School gym Friday to watch the Junior class present College Cut-Ups, a three act comedy drama of college life. The cast and instructors Kathryn Whitehill Evelyn Shepherd received praise for a polished performance. The program opened with the High School Orchestra, followed by a trio of intermission entertainments and Norman Firkins’s humorous reading.

Wm. G. Firkins wins Moravia mayoral office as 276 ballots cast in a high turnout election. J. A. Tadlock and four others elected to council, N. R. Ward treasurer, Sam Hudgens assessor. A council tie led to a lot draw, Von Tracy chosen.
The Moravia P T A presents Miss Audrey Johnson in the morality play Experience at the Moravia School Gymnasium on Monday night April 7 at 7 20 o clock. Mrs. Otis Stober Carey born 1888 in Davis County Iowa died at her Ottumwa home on Saturday March 22 after a week long pneumonia. Survived by husband Otia and four children Thelma Aileen Glen and Trenton all at home. Funeral March 24 at Moulton Methodist Church conducted by Dr Heath with Rev Rex Moulton assisting. Burial Oak Lawn Cemetery. She was active in Main Street Methodist Church and Rebekah lodge. Former Moravia residents with many friends extend sympathy.

Plans for a two week Vacation Bible School were formed and a county convention at Moulton on April 24 discussed along with a birthday party for disabled veterans at Knox ville government Hospital. Emphasis on increasing membership and a $14 monthly quota was urged.
