Farm people becoming more safety conscious
Norval J Wardle Iowa State College extension safety specialist reports five year study shows Iowa farm safety record improving. Accidents in October November December have halved since 1948 and spring quarter April May June shows a further twenty percent reduction. Mrs Nora Burke Dies After Illness in Ottumwa
Nora Burke born May 24 1871 Unionville Iowa died March 28 at 1 30 p m in Ottumwa after five months illness. She married Clarence Burke June 29 1894 Centerville Iowa and they had ten children. Funeral services were held at Turner Funeral home with Rev Ray Cox, interment Moravia cemetery. Pallbearers included Jack Townsend Donald Wells James Buckingham Charles Poncy Max Buckingham and Junior Burke.
