The Mooresville and Brown township public school teachers enjoyed an annual reception hosted by the school board and their wives at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rees Coster. Prof. talks by C. R. Wilson Supt. Z M Smith and others followed a welcome by Mr. Coster, with Miss Thornberry Weldner Ballard and Parks presenting numbers and a social hour with refreshments.

Draft registrants total 306 at local turnout
Three hundred six men aged 18 to 46 registered for the draft at this place last Thursday. Not all were township residents. many came from nearby townships. Registrants aged 19 to 21 and 32 to 36 are now receiving questionnaires and will be subject to the first call.

Submarine Exhibit Train On Route To Martinsville
A train of three cars will pass through here about 10 o clock tomorrow morning en route to Martinsville. One car carries a miniature submarine another a torpedo boat and the third an Eagle submarine chaser by Henry Ford of Detroit. The train includes a 30 piece band and a 25 member naval drill squad. It stops briefly here and at Brooklyn before reaching Martinsville where the exhibit runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
