Mooresville schools begin Monday September 12 with first bell at 8 15 AM second at 8 42 and tardy at 8 45. Daily sessions start 15 minutes later to aid rural students. Ray R Cromwell will be principal replacing Howard Armstrong with Miss Lena Wilson English teacher for grades seven and eight and high school.

At the Mooresville town board meeting on Tuesday night September 7 the board elected Dr P McNab to serve as Secretary of the Board of Health. He was contacted by telephone and will assume duties immediately under the State Board of Health. He is experienced in chemistry and aims to cooperate with local doctors to detect and prevent contagious diseases and invites good citizens to help improve sanitation.
