The Sunday evening gathering titled Institute Echoes will be read by attendees from this summer’s program. Leaguers are urged to attend and visitors are welcomed. The session starts promptly at 6 30.

Barskins opened a new department store today in the Barskin block at Martinsville with a 32 cent price mention and a showcase of goods.
The 1922 conference meets Sept 12 to 18 in Greensburg with Bishop EF D Leete presiding. A 3500 seat tent tabernacle will host attendees and Greensburg homes will entertain ministers. Eight ladies organizations provide daily meals with varied menus. Church leaders and college presidents will participate in the program.
Walter and Omer Lydy will operate their cider mill on Tuesdays and Fridays each week, offering regular hours for customers and local residents seeking fresh apple products.

Social visits unfold as Mrs W H Sage visits daughter in Indianapolis with relatives from Martinsville. Miss Pearl Sellars leaves for St Louis to take Missouri State Nutrition Specialist post after Purdue honors. Local death and gatherings accompany a rural life round up of reunions, sales ads, and a bridal shower at Mrs W O Latta’s home.
A midweek ceremony honored George Nelson for Civil War service with attendance from Mr. Nelson and others. The event recognized his contributions and the community's respect, though details of participants are incomplete.
Mrs John W Housman announces the marriage of her daughter Hazel to Ned C Herrington of Detroit. The couple married Saturday at 10 with Rev O W Tifer officiating. attendants were Miss Faye Pearcy and Dr J F Johnston. They will reside in Detroit with mutual congratulations from friends.
Paul Harvey and Amy Arnett were married Friday night at the Methodist parsonage in Bloomington with Rev. Charles H. Taylor officiating. The ceremony drew close friends and relatives including Mr. and Mrs. Charles Strong George McDaniels and Miss Mary Louise Carr. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Harvey of Mooresville, works for McDaniel Furniture. the bride is a bookkeeper on Walnut Street. Brief honeymoon planned. Bloomington Daily Telephone.
The Christian church ladies announce a chicken supper at the library hall on Saturday evening. They invite friends to join them for the meal and social gathering.
Four Mooresville boys helped form one of the state’s first Lamb Feeding Clubs and exhibited lambs at the Indiana State Fair. Morgan County youth won $116.00 of the $265.00 prize pool, led by Russell Hadley with $43.00 in the wool show. Other local members include Claire Cook Delbert Wilson Russel Duncan and Ray Hart, with Vocational Agriculture club participants showcasing pigs apples ducks geese and a stock judging team. Clifford Anderson finished seventh with his Spotted Poland gilt and many first prizes on waterfowl.
Morgan County will be represented in the State Fair Judging Contest this fall by a team of boys directed by Raymond Gregory, vocational teacher from Mooresville Indiana. The squad includes Russell Hadley, Clifford Anderson and Claire Cook.
M. P. Church lists Sunday school at 10 a.m. with preaching on the first and third Sundays at 11 a.m and 7:30 p.m. A prayer meeting is held Friday evening at 7:30.

The M E Church conference year closes next Sunday with class meeting at 8 45, Sunday School at 9 30, worship at 10 45 followed by a brief memorial for the year’s deceased. The pastor will summarize the year, lead Holy Communion and receive new members. Epworth League worship at 6 30 and 7 30. The pastor preaches his last sermon before confer mee at this hour. Quarterly conference Monday at 3 15 with Rev C E Bacon presiding. All welcome to services.
The Hessian Fly population is smaller this year but seeding should wait for fly free date. In Morgan County the fly free date is October 2. No wheat should be sown before then, and no rye unless in a community where rye has not been raised.
September 21 will be a big day for Poultrymen in Morgan County and central Indiana. The Morgan County Field Day at Smyth farm, one mile south of Morgantown, will be an all day event with Purdue Poultry Department heads on hand to discuss problems. Attendees will see about 3 000 pallets in various houses and methods of handling poultry, and take home applicable practices. Coffee and milk will be provided. attendees should bring lunch.
The Christian Church schedules Sunday School at 4:00 PM, followed by Communion Service and preaching at 11:00 AM. The order lists afternoon lessons and a morning worship event with gospel preaching.
