The Friday gelock dinner at the Friends Churchpeasant gathering drew relatives and friends from Placsfield West Newton and nearby towns. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs. BLOW Anderson and son Benjamin, Mr. and Mrs. Char ence Mills, Mr. and Mrs. John Troy, Mr. and Mrs. Pleas Malis, Mrs. Carrie Keiler, and many others who shared a festive extelbert meal and a long evening of company.

City Fire Department to Face Moorsville ALC Next Sunday

The Indianapolis City Fire Department team will play Moorsville ALC next Sunday. Several City Fire players have previously played with Teague and other pro teams, and a competitive wood game is expected.

School Opens Preparations Under Way for September Start

The school buildings and grounds are readied for Monday September 1. The high school is being remodeled and will require many new books. All entrants must be six by November. Teachers listed in July records show changes with Miss Opal Rankin newly engaged to teach.

Mooresville Lamb Club Wins Prizes At State Fair

The Mooresville Lamb Club carried prize honors at the state fair with seven members showing fat lambs. Russell Hadley headed last year and again led in 1922 with Fat Oxfords. Lynn Cushman, Geo Haworth, Ivan Moore, Harold Welty, Wilford Pointer, and Ralph Duncan placed in Shropshire and other classes. The club, part of the local high school's vocational agriculture program, was supervised by R. W. Creamer.
