Farm Brings 17286 At Public Auction Near Monrovia
The Nathan Hubbard farm four miles south of Monrovia sold at public auction to Mrs. Edith Warner for 17,280 dollars, or 180 per acre. The 96 acre property was described as the best improved farm in the county and was sold by Cols, Isenhower and Brown.

Narrow Escape in Collision Near State Highway
A Tuesday morning collision on a state highway near Harry Gregory’s home involved T H Buttion's Oldsmobile driven by his daughter Mrs Kenneth Marley and a Stutz driven by J S Mash of Indianapolis. Mrs Mary Hadley and Mrs Alice Ferrar were passengers. no serious injuries were reported aside from a bruise to Mrs Hadley. Both cars suffered heavy damage with wheels and mudguards torn. the Stutz left the road and stopped in a corn field. Hollywell of Indianapolis rode with Mash.

Vocational Agriculture classes present a Corn and Pumpkin show in the high school gym on November 9. Globe Trotter Social at Library Housed As Depot
Willing Workers Bible class and Christian Sunday school members invited three guests to a Globe Trotter's social held Tuesday evening at the Library. Rooms were dressed as a depot with a ticket office and baggage room. A customs officer charged for items found in old valises. A collection of almost century old artifacts drew interest. Mrs. Cash Ludlow of Hall won a prize for an old saddle bag and shawl about 100 years old. A ministrel and a wedding caused laughter. Musical numbers entertained, and the lunch counter thrived. Sixteen dollars was added to the class treasury.

Remarkable 35 minute hernia operation applauded by surgeon
Chicago surgical circles note a 67 year old patient with a 28 year hernia history who endured local anesthesia only. The operation lasted 35 minutes and ended with the surgeon praising the patient for bravery. Nine days later the wounds were fully healed and the patient, B. W. Hubbard, had recently led the Mooresville Public Service Company.
