A Sells Floto circus will exhibit in Indianapolis next Monday. The item notes multiple other local happenings including social visits, sales of horses and cars, plans for Memorial Day services, library events, and a May 26 lecture at the Library Assembly Hall.
Committees from the Knights of Pythias Odd Fellows and Red Men met to fix memorial day on the first Sunday in June. All members are urged to attend and gather by 1 56 a m with line formation at 2 pm in the public square then proceed to South Street and the park pavilion for the ritual and program. Rev J W J Collins to deliver an address. Music by a band or orchestra.

On Friday evening, June 2, three advanced students from the Indianapolis Conservatory of Music will perform a concert in the Library. Proceeds above expenses go to the M. E. church pipe organ fund. Admission is 10 cents. The town cemetery care assessment of 1.00 per whole lot or 0.50 per partial lot is due June 1 to Town Treasurer E. F. Wadley. 1915 payments surpassed 1914 by several dollars.
The Bay View Club held its last meeting of the year with Miss Ida Foglieman as host. Mrs. C. L. Hallam announced that Mrs. Alice Lindles of Los Angeles submitted to an operation May 18 in a city hospital. The procedure was more serious than expected and Mrs. Lindley remains weak but improving, with many friends wishing her a swift recovery.
The program lists a May 80 afternoon gathering at Town Park with music readings and a pantomime. Invocations, readings of Roll of Honor, and songs are planned, followed by a Sons and Daughters of Veterans meeting Saturday evening to elect officers. Sunday school children will form a flag procession at 1 30 pm from the M E church, with a march at 2 pm supervised by J S Comer. Boy Scouts will place flowers at local residences.
Serious differences among stockholders threaten operation of the canning factory this season. Arrangements exist to take and pay for contracted tomato crops, while farmers are expected to fulfill their contracts. Disputes over stock payments arise from alleged misrepresentations by sellers, with Mr. Newlands suing to collect money owed and the court handling the case to recover funds.
