A Buidsy evening Pecendureate service overflowed the Methodist church as the Senior Class and High School Girls Glee Club shared the program. Rev Hutchens opened with invocation and Rev McKinney led scripture. solos by Perry Bonham and a male quartet followed with hymns and the address urging seniors to pursue worthy work.

School Exhibit Displays Pupils Work Across Grades

Pupils from each grade had exhibits in school rooms last Friday. Bright paper cutouts, toy furniture, paste figures, and colored art showcased primary and other rooms. Manual training boys produced drop seat tables and writing desks while domestic science pupils showed sewing work, drawing praise from visitors.

Well Known Woman Dies in Mooresville Community

Mrs. Almina J. Hadley died unexpectedly about 2 AM Monday after influenza and heart neuralgia. Born June 16, 1848 in Bethel, she lived in Morgan County all her life and was a prominent church and club figure. Surviving children include Everett T. and Frank, with seven in all. two sisters and one brother also listed. Funeral held at the Methodist Church with many tributes and attendees from across the region.

American Legion Service And Athletic Meet At Mooresville

The American Legion plans a cemetery service at 2 30 on May 30 1923 with a Martinsville National Guard bugler salute and veterans graves to be decorated. Mooresville Community choir under Ralph Cook will perform and Dewey Kelly of American Legion National Headquarters will speak. A post athletic meet follows in Mooresville park with judges appointed on site and prizes from local businesses for events such as races tug o war hammer throw wheelbarrow relay and various contests.

Nathan Hadley’s descendants gathered for a Sunday family reunion at the old west town homestead. Forty one attendees shared a hountious dinner beneath the orchard trees. Out of town guests included Mrs Denny and Mrs Bertsfeld, Morris Hadley and children, Penelope Hadley, Joe Hadley, Bert Johnson of Indianapolis, Cornelia Hadley, Venand Hadley and family from west of town.

The Mooresville High Junior class hosted a formal reception for seniors and staff on Tuesday night. Mrs Meyneke led planning with the Juniors. green and white decor and a cross-shaped dining layout highlighted the four course meal.
