A shop urges readers not to be swayed by mail order goods and to buy what is seen. The display features brooches, hearts, rings and pins as part of a complete assortment offered by the successor to Cooper and Hobbins.
Audit shows a $6.01 deficit as of April 19 1910 with receipts totaling $67.44 since the prior report and expenditures of $35.92 from income leaving a $31.52 balance for next year. Two-year totals show $921.54 income and $880.88 expenditure leaving a remaining balance.
The statement details receipts from W A Lyon and other sources for a commencement event, listing items such as invitations music printing and rent and noting a total income of 107.15 with a 32.01 balance after expenses. Dr C L Hallam approved the examined accounts dated May 4 1810.
The report audited by W. Fi sage shows 52.01 balances in the Commencement account. Two bills were found later for 0¢ and PUc due G. W. Bass, reducing the balance to 32.01. If any bills remain unpaid, notify immediately for prompt settlement. most bills were contracted by the Junior class for decorations.

Charles Hadley of Monrovia and Mrs Lizzie Johnson of Carlyle Ohio married Thursday evening at 8 at Mrs Johnsons home. They plan to visit friends then reside in Monrovia where Hadley operates a business. An eight room dwelling on West Washington Street is noted. Elmer F Harvey Barn for rent. Inuna Thompson.
The council led by President Coster met May 8. Treasurers report for April was accepted. Bills totaling several merchants and public service charges were approved. A streets and sewers committee was formed to address larger sewer tiles and Goose Creek. water mains extension to Fall Creek Manufacturing was approved. E F Harvey resigned and was accepted. Adjournment followed.
