Alden Hadley of Monrovia lectured on Birds and Their Habits at the gymnasium last Thursday. He presented color pictures from the State Conservation Board and emphasized birds' economic and aesthetic value, noting their role in controlling pests. Miss O Conner of Camby sang on harp, and J Miles played violin with Mrs HL OT Jones accompanying.

Young People Conference Planned in Monrovia

A Sunday school conference for Morzin county youths will be held in Monrovia on April 8 and 9. Wayne Miller and another State Association worker will lead separate boys and girls meetings at various churches. Public School Art Exhibition April 12 to 16

An educational art exhibit under the Public School banner runs April 12 to 16 with about one hundred large and three hundred small pictures. Proceeds fund school picture purchases. season tickets 25 cents for adults and tickets valid throughout the four days. Marley Conduitt Couple Wed at North Indiana Residence

Justin Marley and Miss Ronita Conduitt were married Monday evening at eight oclock at the Conduitt residence on North Indiana Street. Rev E L Hutchens performed the ceremony. Present were the bridegroom’s parents Norris Marley and a friend. The couple will reside with Mr Conduitt.

Thomas W. Taylor Dies After Methodist Hospital Surgery

Thomas W. Taylor, who had surgery at Methodist hospital on Saturday March 11, died Friday afternoon. His body was brought home for funeral services at the M E church, with Rev. J E Hartsuck, Rev. McKinley, Rev. E L Hutchen, and Rev. E J Cain taking part. The choir, of which Taylor was a member, led hymns including My Father Watches Over Me sung by Ervin Latta, with Mrs HK Jones at the organ. The church was filled.

New Masonic Hall Opens With 150 Attendees

About 150 Mason ic lodge members enjoyed a chicken supper in the new lodge room above G A Keller’s Hardware store. The hall features a modern dining room kitchen and indirect lighting. A $1100 furniture donation was raised and a new player piano was installed. Harry Smith, a local business man, serves as Grand Master. Western Star members prepared the meal cafeteria style.

Mrs Bb F P Jones hosted the Woman's Club meeting with a program focused on Carrie Jacobs Bond. Mooresville school board will hold a regular session Monday April 3 at eight o clock in the High School assembly. Officials will explain the contract for operating consolidated schools and discuss school expenses permanent improvements property valuation and tax levies to Brown Township and Mooresville.
