The Bay View Club hosted a St Patrick themed gathering for members and guests at Miss Lizzie Scruggs home. A musical program featured airs and duets plus mandolin and piano pieces. A one act comedy and Annie Laurie closed the evening with all 22 members present except for one sick member. Reverend and Mrs Baker attended as honored guests.
In a special session the Mooresville town board considered lowering east Main street sidewalk and approving sewer work bids. The sidewalk plan faced injunction risk from opposing property owners while the sewer bid from Hirskind & Co. was rejected as above the engineer’s estimate. a compromise committee was formed.
