Stolen Horse and Buggy Traced Toward Indianapolis
A horse and buggy owned by E i E Merriman, son in law of Mahlon Deweese, near town, were stolen last Sunday night. A marked horseshoe led trackers to Mooresville and High Street to the cemetery before the trail disappeared. Police believe the rig was driven toward Indianapolis. The Threef.Detective Association conducts an active search for the property. The horse was a fine driving animal.

Electric Power Saw Mill Moves Into Harper Mill Site
John Haase of Newton installs a saw mill on the former Geo W Harper mill site. A fifty horsepower motor will be used with current supplied by Public Service Co. Shortridge Morton and Keller real estate dealers report the sale of the Edna Maz White farm, thirty acres east of Slide-off school house, to Grover George of Fortville for 3250 dollars.
