The Women’s Club Literary Department held a Monday program with Mrs. E A Anderson reading a piece on Prominent Women from 1818, Mrs A P Hutton discussing Washington, Mrs J H Stephenson presenting on Present Day Statesmen, and Mrs Dixon reading The Perfect Tribute about Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address.
The Parent-Teachers Association held no meeting last month due to a union revival service. The group plans to resume regular monthly meetings this month. the date is yet to be decided and will be announced next week.
Daisy Douglas Barr is scheduled to give a lecture at the Friend Church Tuesday evening at 7 30. Admission is 25 cents with proceeds to defray local church expenses from the recent revival.
