Merchants and barbers in Mooresville announce daily closing at 8 o clock with exceptions on Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Wednesday evenings the Mooresville Band will give a free concert on the public square and all business houses will remain open.
The Britton residence on West Harrison Street caught fire from a gasoline stove at noon Monday. The Hadley family narrowly escaped with only a piano, sewing machine, rug, and a few items saved. Insurance covers Hadley’s losses. Britton carries $350 not enough to cover his damage.
Wiley F Cunningham a Martinsville painter transfers to Mabel B Pearcy daughter of Mr and Mrs Hiram Pearcy of Morgan county. Chas F Alford transfers to Sea Hurst laborer of Martinsville to resident of Martinsville.
Bid will be received up to July 25, 1914 at the office of Dr. C. L. Hallam secretary of the school board for supplying coal to heat the school building next winter.

The Epworth League Convention featured a monster rally with 15 000 youths marching in divisions by state and country led by a Canadian delegation. Kansas led by Mrs Harry McCain drew attention as speakers urged constitutional prohibition and a nationwide drive to cut off supply. The event also noted community gatherings, baptisms, funerals, and social activities tied to the temperance movement.

All residents of Mooresville Indiana are notified to cut weeds on their premises within ten days from the date of this notice. If not cut, the town board will have the weeds cut and charge the expense to the residents. By order of the Town Board. Dated July 10, 1914.
