M P Church All Day Meeting At Town Park

The M. P. church schedules an all day gathering at the town park on Sunday July 23. Everyone is invited and asked to bring well filled baskets. A program will be printed in the next issue. By order of Committee.

C A Phillips Dramatic Co to Stage The Broken Arrow at Mooresville

The C A Phillips Dramatic Company of thirty players will perform The Broken Arrow, a western comedy drama, under canvas in Mooresville on Saturday evening July 8. Admission is 20 cents for children and adults vary by seating. A noon outdoor performance on Main Street features cowboy band music outside the tent at 12 PM and the main show at 7:30 PM in front of the big tent.

Mooresville Plant Fly Wheel Blows Hoisting Damages

An engine runaway at Mooresville Water Light Heat and Power caused a massive fly wheel to burst, smashing the ice plant and smokestack, breaking a front window, and hurling debris onto Rain Street. Ammonia fumes forced nearby residents to flee. night engineer Kerley Smitherson was only slightly hurt. Damage seen as heavy. plant owned by Chicago interests with Ben F. Mowery as manager.

Doolittle and Seymore Circus Co Performs For Community Crowd

The Famous Doolittle and Seymore Circus Co staged a garden lawn pageant at H. C. Secarce last Friday evening. The show featured a live lion act, a two year old ring master, acrobats, a snake tamer and a wild man, with toy animals in box cages and a charming village scene. Gate receipts plus popcorn and peanuts raised about $14 amid lemonade and lemon wafers for the spectators.
