W. C. T. U. Meeting Amid Rainy Afternoon
The regular monthly W B C T U meeting at Mrs Pleas ils home was interrupted by heavy rain. Two members and two visitors attended while twelve Oval Temperance Legion girls braved the storm to present their program. Mrs Mills hosted games and ice cream with cake for a pleasant afternoon.
Children’s Day Exercises At Friends Church
Sunday evening program by the Sunday School children drew a full crowd despite the heat. Recitations drills and songs reflected credit on students and teachers. The choir performed well and a quartet sung by Miss Cline Mrs. Harry Williams Co L. Cline and Wallace Mills set to Consider the Lilies added a pretty touch. The overall entertainment stood out as extraordinary.
