Two incumbents were not renominated Fran Rariden was not chosen for prosecutor and Eb Henderson failed to win the assessor nomination, after a long career and three ballots for assessor and seven for clerk and auditor nominations.

Fats and Leaps to Play Ball at Local Park This Afternoon

The Fats and the Leaps will play at the ball park this afternoon the fourth. Also scheduled is a game between the WalkOvers and the Tuxedos. A noon parade of autos wagons goats mules clowns boy scouts and others will precede Lyon's Orchestra providing music with all invited to join the parade.

Camp Meeting At Town Park With Crow Sloan Family

An old fashioned camp meeting will be held at the town park beginning Sunday July 5. Carrie Crow Sloan and her husband lead the event with singing by Lula Kell, sister of Mrs Sloan. The sisters have prior success in town. Tents are provided for camping and attendees should bring bedding. A great time is expected.

Birthday dinner honors 82 year old Mrs Dakin

The children of Mrs. Ann Dakin celebrated her 82nd birthday on Sunday with a party that featured an 82 candle cake and a bouquet of 82 carnations from her youngest son Roscoe. All but one child, Lou Fogleman, attended, including Alice Huggins Edith Corwin Dakin Emmett Huggins Oscar Mowery Chas Cook Ira Conduitt and Dr W U Thompson. Mrs Dakin remains in good health for her age.

Mrs Schooley Dies at 84 in Marion County Home

Mrs Omri Schooley aged 84 died Wednesday at the Julietta old people's home in Marion County. Funeral services were held Friday at the M P church. Survived by six sons Emory Wesley Nathan John Clark Leslie and a daughter Mrs Lee, all of various areas including Indianapolis and California. Her husband preceded her in death.

Word from Indianapolis confirms C Hanch identified the man found Tuesday in the Niagara River as his uncle Jacob N Hanch who had stayed at the McCracken hotel last winter and spring. The body was shipped to Indianapolis for burial at Crown Hill.
