The Bay View Club met last Thursday at Miss Eliz Scruggs home. Members received updates on South American events by roll call. The day’s lesson covered Higher Education in the Argentine Giant Agriculture of Argentina and South American Pearl Fisheries.

Dr Grover Waguinen visited shutre folks midweek. Mrs Hannah Stanton visited her son A B Stanton Saturday. Miss Jane Cruic suffered a broken right arm in a wagon accident Tuesday. Edith Waeman from Indianapolis was home over Sunday. Frank Trester and Robbins Hadley visited Osborn Rudd in Indianapolis Wednesday night. The W F A S met with Mrs Oscar Robbins Friday.

Dr. Thompson's Stock Farm in Monrovia Indiana offers a pair of well matched Percheron mares and black geldings sired by Hoosier Boy, plus other unmatched horses. Also for sale a pair of 2 year old mules.
Homer Knoy born February 2 1893 in Morgan County and a farmer wins a marriage license with Myrtle Ballinger born July 16 1891 in Kentucky. Ballinger resides in Martinsville and works as a housekeeper.

January 17 1913 school notes from Raymond Mitchell show thirteen weeks of school left. Highlights include a close basketball win over Deauville 37 to 2 and strong showings by Most, aleek, and Hiarave. The second team beat Wesley 11 to 4 and seniors study new books. upcoming games include Jamestown Southport and Danville. A school debate on abolishing the present saws amendments is planned, with a Friday morning program and a February literacy exhibit. An athletics event and a guest talk on Wyandynamics Cave are noted, plus birthday observances and parent invitations for the mid February program.

Mrs Belle Widdrick died of tuberculosis at her parents home west of town. Funeral services were at the M P Church. She leaves a infant son with husband and family.
