Spiced Apples With Meringue Dessert Recipe
Pare six large apples and bake with cinnamon salt water until soft. Baste with syrup, then top each apple with meringue and bake eight minutes. Cool and serve with cream or custard. Meringue uses two egg whites beaten stiff with four tablespoons powdered sugar and vanilla.
