The Music and Art department of the Woman's club meets in the library Monday at 2 PM. Mrs W O Mills will discuss Opera from Italy to Gluck's death. Mrs Horace Hadley speaks on modern lace making. Public invited. Mothers department call meeting Tuesday in the library with focus on improving youth.
Mrs Romine lectured on vegetables and food values with cream salmon and white sauce. Tuesday covered choice meats and prep methods. Mrs Ralph Tresslar assisted. Mothers department meets Monday 2 PM in library. Mrs R D Sellers reads McKeever manuscript A Better Crop of Boys and Girls.
Three years ago the Indiana Association of English Teachers tested 1283 students from 268 high schools and 39 others. Mooresville High School sent 3 students. 1 A, 1 B, 1 C. 46.2 percent failed with a D. Since 1911 Mooresville grads gain recognition equal to top Indiana high schools. Superintendent Payne named to national committee to study English in grades. Reports due at end of the year.

Emmett Boyer enters Freshman class as Geometry I and Commercial Arithmetic begin. Valley Mills falls to Bowling Green 22 to 16 while second team loses 40 to 3. School plans four weekly drawing classes and moves eighth grade into the high school library. Annual printing contract awarded to Epigraphist Printing Co. of Spencer Indiana. 233 orders placed. Library open for inspection with tan walls and new shelving. Community notes include social events, church activities, and local visits.
A historical table lists the power usage of various appliances per one cent of electricity from Mooresville Utilities Co. Items include lighting a Mazda lamp, heating a flatiron, operating a washer, vacuuming, pumping water, toasting bread, sewing, and other small electrical tasks with specified durations. The list culminates with a sewing machine doing 35,000 stitches.
The Bay View club held a season meeting with Mrs. W A Lyon as host. Lectures covered Fine Art in Germany and What Woman's Vote Means to Man. Talks on Woman's Suffrage and White Slavery and American Citizenship Safeguarded by the American Home were given. Out of town guests included Mrs W H Morrison and Mrs Coleman.

Mrs. Newton of Camby died Saturday night after a week with apoplexy. Interment was at Crown Hill Tuesday. son Henry and a daughter in law from Indianapolis were with her. Various local residents were noted visiting relatives and reporting family news including births and social visits.
Bert Rhodes of Mooresville marries Ellen J. Warriner daughter of Brooklyn residents W A Warriner. Oren Dorsett, Morgan county farmer, weds Oresta Smith, daughter of James H. Smith of Morgan county. Harlen J. Wilson, Martinsville clerk, weds Hazel Marie Johnson, daughter of Chas Johnson of this city. Eugene L. Welty, Hall laborer, weds Luella O. Mc Kee, daughter of deceased Mr. and Mrs. M R McKee of Frall.
