Thieves Take Chickens From Dr Hallam Poultry House
Thieves broke into Dr Hallam's northwest town poultry house Tuesday night stealing sixty to seventy fine chickens including show birds. The house was damaged by broken doors and windows. Marshal Greeson followed the trail to Indianapolis where two young men were found to have sold the birds for fifty four dollars. Most chickens were recovered and returned to Dr Hallam.

Mooresville Hosts County Tournament Hopefuls
James Marine reports Mooresville High School basketball notes. Mooresville lost to Pittsboro 18 to 17 on their floor, then fell 33 to 22 to Monrovia in a Saturday game. The county tournament is set for January 14 in Mooresville gym with Morgantown Eminence Paragons Monrovia and Mooresville slated to play. The KR GB sectional tournament comes in March in the same gym as visiting teams arrive.
