The farewell clearance sale began last Thursday with an extra large opening day crowd. A steady flow of buyers has continued since, and extra staff were hired to handle customers.
In Monrovia Anderson Hadley remains very ill from heart and lung troubles with little hope of recovery. The column reports a series of local notices including visitors, a death in Joppa, missives about the creamery, a faulty interurban accident, and church events around mid January.
Regular services listed for Methodist Episcopal, Friends, and Methodist Protestant churches next Sabbath. Times include 9 10 a m and 11 a m with evening services, class and junior activities, and midweek prayer meetings. All are invited to attend.

While some students showed deep commitment and gained substantial knowledge, others chose leisure over study. Arthur Cook stood out by completing in three months the credit for a six week course, illustrating the effort the program aimed to inspire.

Miss Nelia Fenneman former Miss Nolia Wright died at her parents home Tuesday afternoon leaving a four day old baby. She grew up near the town and attended the local public school before moving to Indianapolis then Bloomington where she lived after marriage. Funeral services were held at her parents home with burial at Crown Hill.
The Indiana lumber association met in Indianapolis for its annual gathering on Wednesday and Thursday. Secretary H. C. Scearce presided over the event and a social theatre party at the Shubert Mural was held Wednesday evening.
Everard F Hadley purchases the Hartford Fire Insurance Co agency from M L E Ballard who took over when H B Taylor left Mooresville Hadley will manage the business alongside his other insurance interests and policyholders will continue to receive prompt and careful attention.
Salooresville water, light and heat plans a new led well at its plant. The bore would be 10 inches in diameter and as deep as 700 feet unless water supply found earlier. The company, short of water, aims to secure a plentiful supply.
